Travelled to India in December of 2015 to spend Christmas and New Years with the family. We traveled in to Rajasthan and went from Jodphur, to Jaipur to Agra to Delhi. Beautiful country, incredible colours, friendly people and divine food. Here’s less than 100 of the 1400 photos I took over 3 weeks.
The Places
The People
This woman was incredible and I could not stop taking pictures of her. Unfortunately she spoke no English at all so we could not find out how old she was.
Having your beard shaved on the pavement is the new normal.
This woman was bathing in the holy water at the Monkey Temple. They all seemed to be fine but that water was not the cleanest…
The Food
Must be how much street food I used to eat in China which meant that I could eat the food in India with no problems
Rock sugar in its different forms
The Animals
Went and spent a day feeding and painting the elephants. Magnificent creatures.
Sacred Cow at the cow hospital that we visited. Holy animals in India so they must be treated with the utmost respect. They are never eaten and never killed. Thousands of dollars are spent treating sick cows in this sanctuary every year.
The Things
India, you are incredible. Cannot wait to go back one day.
All photos taken with a Nikon D5300.
Lindissimas fotos! Cada uma é uma lembrança que nunca será esquecidos.
Wonderful wonderful photos! I am thinking of you as a little girl in the wading pool at DBRC. A while ago… The first time I met you mom.
Cheers,
Rachel
